Dawn Colvert

Founder, Chairman of the Board, CEO

Mrs. Colvert is the Founder of Verity Integrated Systems, Inc. and serves as the Chairman of the Board and CEO.  Ms. Colvert’s professional career has spanned many facets of corporate administration and employee relations.  She has over 15 years of experience in the defense services industry.  Prior to establishing Verity Integrated Systems, Inc., she was the Director of Human Resources for Westar Aerospace and Defense Group, ELMCO Division where she oversaw administrative operations.  She was responsible for all supporting aspects of corporate administration including Human Resources, Security, Accounting, Payroll, Contracts, Facilities, Technical Publications and Corporate information Systems.  Mrs. Colvert received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Business Administration from the Athens State University and a M.S. Degree in Business Administration from the Florida Institute of Technology.  She earned a Professional Certificate in Human Resource Management (PHR) from the Society of Human Resource Management.  Ms. Colvert is also a graduate of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County Focus Class 31.

Phil Colvert

Co-Founder, President

Mr. Colvert is the Co-Founder of Verity Integrated Systems, Inc. and serves as the President and Secretary for the Board of Directors.  His professional career has been in the technical services industry where he has held positions from Systems Analyst to Corporate Officer providing a broad spectrum of engineering and management experience supporting DoD organizations including:  SMDC, ARSTRAT, MDA, PEO Missiles and Space, AMRDEC, and large aerospace prime contractors on concept developments, advanced technologies, and major system developments.  Prior to joining Verity Integrated Systems, he was the Defense Solutions Chief Technical Officer and Senior Vice President for Special Projects at QinetiQ North America.  He has over 30 years of experience in M & S based systems engineering and design synthesis, agile methods, end-to-end concept development, mentoring, software independent verification and validation, business development, battle management, command and control, simulation and HWIL development, and weapon systems analysis.  He developed Simulation Support Plans (SSP) for various Project Offices.  He has served as Program manager and principal investigator responsible for the development of high-fidelity system simulations; several of which were accredited and successfully used to address the integrated defense effectiveness KPP supporting formal milestone decisions.  He served as a principal investigator responsible for conducting weapon system trade studies and systems performance analysis, developing concepts for technology exploitation, performing risk assessments, supporting ground testing and flight test events, and conducting technology readiness assessments.  Mr. Colvert received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from the University of Central Arkansas.

Lee Walker

Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Mr. Walker serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Verity Integrated Systems, Inc.  He has over 18 years of diverse leadership experience spanning both the biotechnology and aerospace industries.  He has applied his unique experience evaluating product concepts and navigating the product development lifecycle on commercial programs ranging from drug delivery technologies to hardware/software development programs.  Prior to joining Verity, he was the Program Manager for Technology Programs at Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation where he was responsible for directing multiple technical contracts across domains including Quality Systems, Mission Assurance, System Sustainment and Logistics, Obsolescence, Corrosion, and Technical Data Management.  Mr. Walker received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) from the University of Alabama, and a Master of Science Degree in Applied Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Paul Colvert

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Mr. Paul Colvert is the Chief Technology Officer of Verity Integrated Systems. He has 26 years of experience in the modeling and simulation of both offensive and defensive weapon systems for the Department of Defense (DoD).  Much of his software simulation development has been in the area of monolithic, non-real time, discrete event system simulation with an emphasis on the 3 Degrees of Freedom (3DOF) modeling of various missile systems from ballistic to boost-glide hypersonic flight.  Additional areas of work include Monte Carlo analysis, communication link margin analysis, the development of space-based optical sensor models, missile visible and infrared seeker models, sensor track propagation algorithms, and foreign ballistic missile threat models.  Mr. Colvert received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from the University of Central Arkansas.

Johnny Workman

Vice President

Mr. Workman serves as the Vice President for Verity Integrated Systems, Inc.  He retired as the Chief of Staff, Army Hypersonic Project Office in July of 2021.  Mr. Workman was commissioned at Duke University as a Field Artillery Office, and while there received a degree in Political Science in 1995, before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.  Mr. Workman served in multiple positions from Battalion to the Department of the Army, with the privilege of leading soldiers, and serving with all the services and levels of the military.  His tours of duty include service throughout the continental United States, Korea, the Middle East, and Europe.  He served as Battery Commander for the 3rd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery; Basic Course and Captain Career Course Instructor, Dep Director Inspections US Army Inspector General’s Office, Long-Range Precision Fires-Cross Functional Team Dep Operation Officer.  He has also served on the Army Staff at the Pentagon.  Mr. Workman is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and holds a Project Management Certification from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.  He has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Webster University.
